My name is Andrea and we are new to Tehama Ridge. I have a 2 year old daughter that I stay home with during the day (I work at night during the week except Wed. nights). I am also expecting our second baby in December and would really love to meet some other mom's and little ones in the neighborhood!! My name is Shanna Easley. I have wanted to participate in playgroup activities but never know what my schedule is from day to day. My son is 3 and really needs more social interaction. Another neighbor and myself have been taking the kids for walks in the evening then over to the playground for 20 minutes or so. Maybe this can be the start of some mommy exercise and kids playtime.
Another thing we do with the kids is on Monday's, the theater over off of Hwy 26, behind the Hooters, does 50 cent movies that day for 4+ tickets. They show older movies but people don't care that the kids run through the isles and usually, as least mine, throws at least one temper tantrum. Also on Monday, from 5-8, happy meals at McDonald's are only 1.00.
Let me know what else has been started. Maybe 1 day a week isn't to much to commit to. sha453@sbcglobal.ne
My name is Tom and I am a single dad new to the area looking for information on before and after school care for my 9 year old son who will be attending Peterson. I spoke to the school and they have a Champions program, but only had two children registered as of Friday. I am wondering if there are any others that students use locally. My name is Stephanie Kahan. We have been in the neighborhood since March 2007. I have two sons, 5 and 2. I would be interested in a playgroup for the 2 year old. If anyone is getting toghether let me know!!
I have noticed that most of these comments have been a while back, but I am still interested in playgroups as well. My name is Melissa and I have a 2 year old daughter and a 4 month old son that I stay home with. My 2 year old could really use some friends her around her own age.
